Zaria Massacre: Shiites put death figure at 1000 condemn Buhari for keeping silent

The Islamic Movement in Nigeria (IMIN) also known as the Shiite Movement has put the figure of its members killed during Saturday/Sunday clash with the Nigerian Army at about one thousand and has also condemned the government of President Muhammed Buhari for keeping silent despite the killings by the Nigerian Army.

The Movement also alleged that the Army is wearing some of the corpses, Nigerian Army uniforms and taking their photographs with the intention of presenting them as Soldiers killed by its members.

While condemning the silence of the Federal government, the Shiites in a statement signed by Ibrahim Musa, President of Media Forum said “We believe that this incident is planned and executed by the government which has been looking the other way while the army was killing members of the Movement for a period of over 27 hours from Saturday on without any statement and is still quiet as the army continues with its killing spree”

“About a thousand of members of the Movement have been massacred at the moment as counting continues, but the soldiers are now busy evacuating the dead bodies to unknown destination.
