Gov. Aminu Tambuwal of Sokoto State, has described Mr Yakubu Dogara, Speaker, House of Representatives, as `a detribalised and committed Nigerian.’
Tambuwal made the statement on Monday in Sokoto when a delegation from Sayawa communities in Bogoro and Tafawa Balewa local government areas of Bauchi state paid him a thank you visit.
``He said: ``Dogara is a patriotic, committed and pious Nigerian who has been tested and trusted.
``He is one young northerner and Nigerian who has not only integrity, but accommodation and the ability for leadership.
``When you are talking about leadership, you must put away sentiments and his emergence as the speaker was based on merit and divined by God.''
Air Commodore Ishaku Komu (rtd) the Paramount Ruler of Sayawa community, Dung Zaar-designate, urged Nigerians to support President Muhammadu Buhari to enable him effect the desired changes in the affairs of the country.
The monarch, who led the delegation, promised that their son Dogara would not fail Nigerians in the discharge of his national assignment.
In his remarks, Prof. Suleiman Bogoro, the Executive Secretary, Tertiary Education Trust Fund (TETFUND),an indigene of the community described Tambuwal as `bridge builder.
