The Code of Conduct Tribunal (CCT) has fixed Thursday, March 24 for ruling on whether or not to quash the charge on false declaration of assets brought against the Senate President, Dr.Bukola Saraki, by the Federal Government.
Chairman of the Tribunal, Mr. Danladi Yakubu Umar fixed the date yesterday after counsel for Saraki, Chief Kanu Agabi (SAN) and that of the government Mr. Rotimi Jacobs (SAN) had canvassed their arguments for and against that the charge against Saraki be quashed.
At the resumed hearing, counsel to Saraki appealed to the tribunal to quash the charge against his client on the ground that the charge was not competent in law.
