Court orders DSS to allow Dasuki travel abroad for medical attention

The immediate past National Security Adviser (NSA), Sambo Dasuki has secured another favourable court ruling in his battle with the Department of State Services (DSS).

Justice Ademola Adeniyi of the Federal High Court, Abuja on Friday ordered the DSS to allow Dasuki proceed abroad for medical treatment.

While stating that he will not tolerate disobedience on his rulings, Justice Adeniyi said “What is wrong in the defendant travelling and coming back to face trial? Only a fit person can stand for trial and investigation. My own orders will not be flouted”.

He therefore directed the DSS to immediately release his travel documents to him.

It would be recalled that the same Judge had ruled on November 3, 2015 that the former NSA should be allowed to travel abroad for medical attention. Instead of obeying the order, the DSS laid a siege on his house to forestall the trip abroad.

Dasuki therefore went back to the court to seek for the enforcement of its earlier ruling.
